Chantal is an artist and decorative painter living in Somerset. With a degree from Central St Martins College of Art & Design and a background in interior decoration, she takes an interest in painting good quality furniture she finds at auctions. Once loved solid wood pieces are brought back to life by the stroke of her paintbrush. She is giving a second life to these items, upcycling them in effect. The environmental element of her work is something that concerns Chantal. All her painted items have a story to tell and that adds to the charm of the pieces.
Inspired by decorative painting in all its forms (folk, religious, arts & crafts, Scandinavian, Far Eastern, Middle Eastern, Eastern European), her style is refreshingly unique.
All pieces are properly treated and varnished or waxed for protection.
